Dr. Mohammad Ashyam has done graduation, post-graduation and Ph. D. from A. M. U., Aligarh, U. P. His topic of research is: " A Study of Human Predicament in the plays of Edward Albee". His thrust areas are modern,continental and absurd dramas respectively. He is an assistant professor of English at the Centre for Distance and Online Education of A. M.U. on the contractual basis. He is attached to the offline admission process, moderation of the question papers and the scrutiny of the examination copies at the Distance Education of A. M. U. He has developed the study materials for the students of Distance Education at the graduation and post-graduation levels respectively. Before joining the Distance Education of A. M. U., he has briefly taught at one of the private colleges and one of the schools of Aligarh. His articles have been published in the international journals. He has contributed Letters to the Editors in the leading English dailies. He has keen interest in the literary and the cultural activities. During his student life at A. M. U., he was the members of the Literary Club, Short- Evening Courses and the  Film Clubs respectively of the General Education Centre of A. M. U. He has organised and participated in the various literary and the cultural events during his residential life at A. M. U. He was Editor of the Hall's magazine and the secretary of the Reading Room of Mohsinul- Mulk Hall of A. M. U.
