Valeed Ahmad Ansari is working as a Professor. He holds MA in Economics, MBA, and Ph.D. in the area of Finance. His research interests include Asset pricing, Behavioral Finance, Corporate Governance, and Islamic Banking and Finance. He has more than three decades of teaching and research experience. He served as chairperson of the Department of  Business Administration and Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Research, AMU, Aligarh.

He has published papers in national journals of repute such as Vikalpa and Margin and international journals like Journal of Asset Management, International Journal of Emerging Markets. Managerial Finance, Applied Finance Letters, Journal of Risk Finance and International Journal of Financial Markets and Derivatives. He also edited Islamic Economic News Bulletin during 1991-94.
