Research Interest: Dr. Mohd Sajid Khan focuses on the development of natural and synthetic inhibitors for serine, cysteine, and aspartic proteases, studying their inhibition kinetics and thermodynamics. He has also synthesized inorganic nanoparticles, including gold, silver, selenium, and zinc, in specific sizes using various anticancer enzymes and proteins. These nanoparticles serve as drug delivery systems for FDA-approved anticancer drugs such as Methotrexate, Cisplatin, and Doxorubicin, targeting different types of cancer cells. Additionally, these delivery systems are enhanced to function as theragnostic. Dr. Khan is also engaged in designing anti-diabetic tri-peptides.
