Sharmin Khan is a graduate in Architecture from AMU, Aligarh and has obtained a Ph.D in Architecture, from AMU, Aligarh. She obtained Master’s degree in Construction Engineering and Management from IIT, Delhi. She has served as a faculty in Institute of Integral Technology, Lucknow and Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, before joining AMU as Lecturer in 2004. Her research work is oriented towards the study and correlation of construction management issues with sustainable development. The research areas of interest are Construction management, History and Sustainable Architecture. She has authored four books and published three edited books. The research papers have been presented at various conferences and published in journals and magazines. Currently, she is serving as Provost of Bibi Fatima Hall for girls and is the Editor of the Annual College magazine “ZHTEKNOS” of Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology. She is also member of the Anti-Ragging Squad of the Aligarh Muslim University.
