Dr. M.Z.A. Rafiquee, working as Professor of Physical and Soil Chemistry in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University since 2015. He did his M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry in 1987 and qualified JRF (CSIR, New Delhi) in 1989. He obtained his PhD (Chemistry) in 1993 from Aligarh Muslim University and was awarded with RA (CSIR, New Delhi) in 1994. He joined as Lecturer in 1997 and later promoted to Reader in 2003 in the Applied Chemistry Department. Dr. Rafiquee undertaken the foreign assignment of teaching and research in Higher Institute of Engineering, Hoon (Libya) and King Saud University, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) during 2010-2015. His research interest includes the Kinetics and Surfactant Chemistry. He published 84 research papers in the Journals of international reputes (namely, Colloid Polym. Sci., Springer; Colloids and Surfaces, A: Physicochem. Eng.  Aspects; J. Coll. and Interf. Sci.; J. Molecular Liquids; Material Chemistry and Physics, Elsevier’s; J. Phys. Org. Chem.,Wiley; Intern. J.Chem.Kinet.,Wiley & Sons) relevant to the applications of surfactants in catalysis, corrosion, ion exchangers and synthesis of nanoparticles.   Prof. Rafiquee has guided 07 Ph.D, 2 M.Phil and 10 M.Sc. (Polym Sc & Tech) students for the award of their respective degrees. He attended 14 conferences/workshops in India and Saudi Arabia. Prof. Rafiquee was granted Major Research Project on the topic “Kinetics of Degradation of Pesticides in organized Media” for Rs. 5,54,800 in 2008 by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
