Program Educational Objectives (PEO's) :
Statistics as a subject at the graduate level is one of the best choices among students. The aim of the B.Sc. (Statistics) program to introduce students to the basic theoretical and applied aspects of statistics and develop an interest among them. The curriculum is designed as per UGC guidelines to give them detailed knowledge of descriptive statistics, applied statistics, probability theory, sampling theory, statistical inference, design of experiment, and their applications in real-life situations. Students also get the training of handling different statistical software for analysis of data.
Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
PSO–1: Demonstrate strong knowledge of statistical concepts, probability theory, and quantitative techniques to analyze and interpret data in various fields.
PSO–2: Apply statistical tools, computational methods, and statistical software to perform data analysis, modeling, and evidence-based decision making.
PSO–3: Develop analytical thinking, research aptitude, and problem-solving skills to pursue higher studies or professional careers in statistics, data analysis, and related disciplines.
Program Outcomes (PO's) :
After successful completion of the course
· Students will be able to understand basic theoretical and applied concepts of statistics.
· Students will be able to communicate key statistical concepts to non-statisticians.
· Students will gain proficiency in using statistical software for data analysis.
