The IDoR is an annual event held each year with the aim of building greater awareness of the value that radiology contributes to safe patient care and improving understanding of the vital role radiologist and radiological technicians play in the health care continuum.
The date also marks the anniversary of the discovery of X-rays by William Roentgen in 1895.
The day is celebrated worldwide by various National radiographers, associations, and societies.
This year’s theme is Interventional Radiology: Active care for the patient.
