6th UP Orthopaedic Association Trauma Course-2019 on 20th October, 2019
The
Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim
University, Aligarh and Aligarh Orthopaedic Club has organized 6th
UP Orthopaedic Association Trauma Course-2019 on 20th
October, 2019. It was one day scientific programme on lower limb trauma
with main emphasis on newer techniques of management and current trends in
lower limb trauma surgeries. The programme had lectures and scientific
deliberations by some of the renowned orthopaedicians from all over India like Dr.
K.D. Tripathi (Allahabad), Dr. Amit Ajgaonkar (Mumbai), Dr. John Mukhopadhyay (Paras
Hospital, Patna), Dr. N. K. Magu (Max Hospital, New Delhi), Dr. Shah Alam Khan
(AIIMS, New Delhi) and many others. It has given newer insights into lower limb
trauma to the young budding orthopaedicians participating as delegates in the
programme.
The
programme was organised under the able leadership of Prof. Naiyer Asif, Organising Chairman and Dr.
Latif Zafar Jilani, Organising Secretary.

Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support (BCLS) Course 31.3.2019
First BCLS Workshop was organized by
the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in collaboration with the department of
Anaesthesiology on 31.3.2019 at JNMCH,
A.M.U., Aligarh.
The attending delegates including
postgraduates students of Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Department of
Anaesthesiology were imparted skills and also given Hands on experience about
basis cardiac life support skills. The workshop was attended by 32 postgraduate
students.

(Tr. & Orth.), Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Borders General Hospital, Borders NHS Trust, Melrose, Roxburghshire TD6 9BS, Scotland, United Kingdom visited the department on 9.2.2017 and delivered an Extra-Mural Lecture on "Rotator Cuff Injury" . He also performed live surgical demonstration of Arthroscopic Bankart Repair in a patient of Recurrent Dislocation of Shoulder.
