EMINENT SPEAKERS OF THE DEPARTMENT
1.Dr. Jaideep Malhotra, MBBS, MD, FICMCH, FIAJAGO, FICOG, MASRM, FICMU is an alumni of JNMC, Aligarh and is currently working as consultant and Director obstetrics and gynecologist at Malhotra nursing and maternity home and Malhotra test tube baby center and also visiting consultant at various national and International Hospitals and centers.
She has been and is currently member of various prestigious professional bodies including FOGSI,A.O.G.S,ISA,ICOG,ISPAT,IMS, club 3 5 plus. She is currently president ASPIRE[first Indian and first ever women to be elected for this prestigious position]
She visited the department of obstetrics and gynecology JNMC on 09/03/2016 and gave an extension lecture on future of Infertility in Asia Pacific.
The dean, faculty of medicine geared the occasion with his presence. The faculty members and residents of the department of obstetrics & gynecology, faculty members from other departments and private practitioners were also present.
2.Dr. Shaheen Usmani, Assistant Professor in Department of Early Childhood Education, Brooklyn College, City University, New York, visited the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology JNMC on 14.10.2016 (Friday) and gave a Guest Lecture on Interactive teaching in the Seminar room of the department. Faculty members, junior and senior residents actively participated in the talk.
3.Dr. Sarosh Rana, MD, MPH and currently working as the Section Chief of MFM at University of Chicago Medical Center. She did her medical school and Obstetrics & Gynaecology training from J.N.M.C, Aligarh, followed by OB/GYN training at the University of Chicago, MFM fellowship at Brown University and Masters of Public Health at Harvard. She visited the department of Obs. & Gynae, JNMC on 08/11/2016 and gave a talk on Post Partum Eclampsia. Faculty members, junior and senior residents actively participated in the talk.
Dr. Sarosh Rana, MD, MPH is the Section Chief of MFM at University of Chicago Medical Center. She did her medical school and Obstetrics & Gynaecology training from J.N.M.C, Aligarh, followed by OB/GYN training at the University of Chicago, MFM fellowship at Brown University and Masters of Public Health at Harvard.
She is a maternal fetal medicine specialist and provides specialized care to high-risk pregnant women and their fetuses.
Her research is focused on elucidating the pathogenesis of Preeclampsia. She visited the department of Obs. & Gynae, JNMC on 03/11/2015 and gave a talk on the relationship of angiogenic biomarkers with adverse maternal and fetal outcomes with the objective of accurately predicting women at risk of Preeclampsia. Faculty members, junior and senior residents actively participated in the talk.
