Law Society
Its establishment at the Department of Law, AMUMC was inaugurated by the then Pro Vice Chancellor Brig Syed Ahmad Ali in 2014.
The Society organizes Law festivals comprising Moot Court Competitions, Debate, Judgment Writing, Legal Quiz, Essay Writing, Skit, Poster making etc. at departmental and national level to enhance the legal skills of the students. The Society also publishes the Law Reports and Magazines to develop the writing and research skills among the students. The Coordinator of the Department Dr. Shahnawaz Ahmad Malik is the president of the Society and Mr. Ghalib Nashter is its Convener.
Legal Aid Cell
Legal Aid Cell of the Department provides legal aid to the poor and weaker section of the society. The LAC at AMU Malappuram Centre organizes various awareness events in local area ,specially, Nukkad Natak and legal aid camp in the tribal areas. Mr. Ghalib Nashter was the first chairperson of the cell and currently Dr. Naseema PK is the chairperson and Dr. Azmat Ali with Dr. Deeba Khanum and Dr. Shally Victor are the members of Legal Aid Cell of the department.
