Outreach Awareness Programme on Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY)
Department of Economics, Aligarh Muslim University, organised an Outreach Awareness Programme on Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY). The programme was conducted at Maheshpur village of Aligarh district on 10.11.2021 (Wednesday) under the Outreach Programme Committee of the Department. During the visit, Prof. Mohd Azam Khan (Convener), Prof. Mohammad Asif, Dr. Syeeda Khatoon, Dr. Jamil Ahmad and Dr. Abdul Azeez N.P, and Pradhan interacted with villagers and found that there is a lack of awareness about various benefits and provision of PMJDY. The programme created awareness among the villagers about the benefits and requirements, which inspired them to open a bank account under PMJDY.
Resource Survey and Planning
Department of Economics organized Two weeks winter term course from 5th to 17th December 2016 on Rural Planning and Management: Application of Remote sensing and Geographical Information System under GIAN sponsored by MHRD. During the course 80 participants visited Mirzapur Village for Resource Survey and Planning.
