I am Dr. Sufia Anjum, an academician with over 6.5 years of professional experience in the field of education, including 4.5 years in teacher education and 2 years in school education. I earned my Doctorate in Education from the Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University (A.M.U.), where my doctoral research focused on designing a new model of teacher education curriculum within the human capital theoretical framework and in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0). My study explored how teacher education can be re-envisioned to align with the demands and competencies required of 21st-century school teachers.
My research interests lie in teacher education reform, curriculum design and evaluation, teaching practice supervision models, and the integration of educational technology with constructivist pedagogies. I am particularly motivated to promote quality research in Indian teacher education through innovative and diverse methodological approaches aimed at testing, refining, and developing theoretical frameworks and practical models relevant to contemporary educational contexts.
As an educator, I advocate a constructivist and student-centered teaching philosophy that blends EdTech innovations with cultural sensitivity to foster active learning and professional growth. I have substantial experience in learning outcome-based curriculum and lesson design, curriculum audits, and the supervision of teaching practice, focusing on preparing reflective, competent, and future-ready teachers.
I look forward to engaging in teacher training, collaborative research projects, policy development, and edupreneurial initiatives that contribute to the continuous advancement of teacher and school education in India.
