Mr. Syed Mohd Mustafa was born on 15th July 1962 at Allahabad. He belongs to a well known Talukedar family of Kara now in Kaushambi District of Uttar Pradesh. His Great Grand Father Late Molvi Syed Mohd Matin was contemporary to Pandit Motilal Nehru. Keeping the family profession alive his two brothers are practicing in Hon'ble Supreme Court and Allahabad High Court respectively.
Mr. Mustafa started learning at Boys' High School and College, one of the Prestigious Institution of Allahabad and latter completed his Intermediate from Majidia Islamia Inter College Alld. He obtained his Post graduation and Bachelor of Law Degrees from Allahabad University. He was commissioned in National Cadet Corps on 4th Nov 1991 after passing out from Officer Training Academy, Kamptee. He has been decorated with the Defence Secretary and Director General NCC Commendations, also received Rackcha Manatri Padak in recognition of his services to the Organisation. He is also a fellow of London Chamber of Commerce and Industries (London). He has also served as a Correspondent in Times of India and Indian Express Newspapers before obtaining Teaching Degree. The Government of India appointed him as a member of Telephone Advisory Committee of UP (East) for three years to represent Schools in Uttar Pradesh.
Mr. Mustafa has served a number of eminent Schools and Colleges of the Country and has vast administrative experience in the field of School Education. He had an opportunity of serving twice in Consulate General of India, Jeddah (SA) as part of Indian Hajj Contingent. He took premature retirement before joining as the Principal of Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School (Boys), Aligarh Muslim University. Recognising his services, Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah, PVSM, SM, VSM, the Vice Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University is pleased to assign the additional Charge of Allama Iqbal Boarding House (Hall) w.e.f.2nd July 2014.
