25-OCT-2016: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) alumnus, Dr Danish Suhail represented AMU and India at the World Health Organization (WHO) headquarters in Geneva after he was invited as an International Youth Delegate to present his views on 'Current Medical Problems in India'. During the Geneva visit, Dr Suhail requested the WHO for more cooperation.
At the WHO Headquarters, Dr Suhail put forth the health problems existing in India and what can be done to combat the problem. He also explained the delegates at the WHO Headquarters, the work, 'SOCH' has been doing.
"SOCH may collaborate with WHO to run some programs which can help in benefitting the health of the people of India," said Dr Suhail.
Meanwhile, Dr Saleem Mohammad Khan, President, SOCH and JNMC AMU alumnus congratulated Dr Suhail on the achievement.
Dr Suhail did his Bachelors in Dental Surgery from Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College, AMU and is currently pursuing Masters in International Health from Royal Tropical Institute, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
He is also one of the founding members of SOCH and currently holds the position of General Secretary in the organization.
Dr Suhail has earlier been a part of major health missions to Nepal and Kashmir organized by SOCH and AMU. He is also a mentor in the Queen Elizebeth Young Leaders Program.
