12-NOV-2016: The Women's College Students Union (WCSU) recently organized a pre-placement talk for Gandhi Fellowship Program at Women's College Auditorium of the Aligarh Muslim University.
Mr Shiv Pratap, program leader from Gandhi Fellowship Program and Ms Shana Khan, Women's College alumnus and recipient of fellowship, interacted with the students during the programme.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Pratap said that many bricks together make the wall and every child is a special brick in nation building process. He added that we need to work on developing leadership in each child so that they become assets for nation building.
Mr Pratap said that at Gandhi Fellowship Program, they work with graduates with in-built leadership. "These graduates then train the head masters of various schools and students attending these schools." said Mr Pratap.
Talking about her experiences as a fellow with the Gandhi Fellowship Program, Ms Shana Khan said that she is training headmasters of five different schools in Maharashtra. "We train them in new technologies and provide them with resources to implement in their school," said Ms Khan.
Mr Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer (General), Assistant Professor Mr Manoor Alam Siddiqui and WCSU members were also present.
Gandhi Fellowship Program is a leadership and entrepreneurship development program, functioning in five different states. The Program focuses on developing leadership qualities in self and replicating the public system domain.
