MBA 1992 batch meets at Frank and Debbie Islam Management Complex for ?Silver Jubilee Reunion?
Aligarh, November 9: Laughter and cheers filled the air as Master in Business Administration, 1992 batch of the Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) reminisced about their good old campus days, while they gathered for ?Silver Jubilee Reunion? at the Frank and Debbie Islam Management Complex, AMU.
The rare pleasure of meeting again after years apart was made all the more meaningful with the presence of AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor, who attended the function as the chief guest. After addressing the gathering, Prof Mansoor released a souvenir of the reunion.
Prof Javaid Akhtar (Registrar) and Prof Kaleem Mohd Khan (retired faculty), Prof Parvaiz Talib (Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Research and Chairperson, Department of Business Administration) and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
Extending a warm welcome to the alumni, Prof Parvaiz Talib said that ?life is lived forward, but understood backward?.
Mr Wasiullah (Vice President, HDFC Bank and alumnus 1992 batch) paid homage and respects to Late Prof Najmul Hasan and Late Prof S M Ozair by asking people attending the programme to observe a minute of silence. Late Mr Anwar Iqbal Nami (MBA 1992 alumnus) was also remembered.
The first session of the programme, which was moderated by Prof Mashkur Zafar and Mr Quateel Ahmad (accomplished advertising professional) had the 1992 batch alumni introducing themselves and providing the current students with valuable career insights.
Ms Shahnaz Yasmin (Brand Lead, CISCO-India & SARC) and Mr Ravinder Singh Chawla (Founder & Owner-RSC Learning & Consulting Solutions) later moderated the interaction and discussion session.
An interactive session between the alumni and faculty members regarding future collaborations followed. Mr Shujaul Rehman (CEO, Garware Ltd, Pune) and Mr Shahid Imam (Entrepreneur, Gurgaon) moderated the session.
Mr Milind Kumar Singh (Director, Novus Overseas, UAE) and Dr Saboohi Nasim (Faculty of Management Studies and Research) also conducted sessions. On behalf of the 1992 batch, Mr Khurram Ilyas (Director, Techurban, Aligarh) felicitated Mr Anwar Ilahi (Retired office attendant) with a shawl.
The 1992 MBA batch students who came from USA, Europe, Middle East and different parts of India not only shared nostalgic memories but also showed their gratitude to alma mater, which helped them to build their careers. These alumni have higher echelons in the corporate world and many of them are accomplished entrepreneurs, consultants and academics.
