26-SEP-2018: AMUSTA celebrates Teachers Day
Aligarh, September 26: The Aligarh Muslim University School Teachers Association (AMUSTA) celebrated the Teacher's Day and Dr S Radhakrishnan's birth anniversary at the Kennedy Hall auditorium.
Attending the function as the Chief Guest, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor M H Beg said that teachers are role models for students who inspire and encourage them to strive for the best.
Guest of Honour, Mr Abdul Hamid (IPS), AMU Registrar said that he considers everyday of the year as a Teacher's Day because his teachers, like his parents have been the happiest to see him successful. He urged AMU teachers to make teaching joyful and to be updated with latest high-end teaching technologies.
Prof Asfar Ali Khan, Director, Directorate of School Education (DOSE), who also attended the function as the Guest of Honour, said that teachers should keep on updating themselves with the new teaching methods with greater confidence levels.
Ms Arshi Zafar Khan, President, AMUSTA welcomed the guests and urged the teachers to follow teachings of Dr S Radhakrishnan.
Mr M Abu Noman, General Secretary, AMUSTA discussed solutions of common day-to-day problems of AMU school teachers.
Prof Abid Ali Khan, Deputy Director, DOSE; Dr Anwar Shahzad, Assistant Director, DOSE and Dr Faisal Hasan, Assistant Director, DOSE were the special guests.
Mr Faisal Nafis (Principal, STS School), Syed Tanveer Nabi (Principal, City School), Mrs Amna Malik (Principal, AMU Girls School), Mr Syed M Mustafa (Principal, Senior Secondary School-Boys), Ms Nagma Irfan (Principal, Senior Secondary School-Girls), Mr S Ahtashan Akbar (Principal, Qazi Para School), Ms Firdaus Rehman (Principal, Ahmadi School for Visually Challenged), Dr Abbas Niazi (Principal, AMU ABK-Boys), Dr Saba Hasan (Principal, AMU ABK-Girls), Mr Ashok Kumar Singh (Principal, KVS) and vice principals of various AMU schools were also present on the occasion.
Dr Haseen was the convener of the programme, while Mr M Alam, Vice President, AMUSTA proposed the vote of thanks.
