20-OCT-2018: Noted journalist interacts with mass communication students
ALIGARH October 20: "There is no substitute for reading and the students of mass communication must have a growing acquaintance with a number of subjects and familiarity with new information alone cannot ensure success", said renowned journalist, Mr Wajeehuddin, Senior Editor, The Times of India, Bombay, while addressing the students of Mass Communication, Aligarh Muslim University.
Mr Wajeehuddin, a prolific writer, blogger and an alumnus of AMU, exhorted students to devote as much time as they could on reading as it will help them to answer the varied calls made upon their skill. "Journalism offers the best job prospects", he added.
Earlier, welcoming the noted journalist, Professor Shafey Kidwai, Chairman, Department of Mass Communication, highlighted the efforts of Mr Wajeehuddin in spreading the message of Sir Syed by writing inspiring stories in the Times of India and also on his blog. The students of MA (Mass Communication), PG Diploma in Journalism and PG Diploma in Public Relations listened to the talk of Mr Wajeehuddin with apt attention.
