18-OCT-2019: Trauma course to be held on October 20
ALIGARH October 18: The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, J N Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, in collaboration with the Aligarh Orthopaedic Club, is organising 6th UP Orthopaedic Association Trauma Course - 2019 on October 20, 2019.
The one-day event will provide a platform for deliberations on lower limb trauma with main emphasis on newer techniques of management and current trends in lower limb trauma surgeries.
Dr Latif Zafar Jilani, Organising Secretary of the event, said that AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor will chair the inaugural session as chief guest while Prof A A Iraqi, former President of UP Orthopaedic Association and Prof S C Sharma, Dean and Principal of JNMC will be the guests of honour.
Dr Jilani said that the event will include lectures and scientific deliberations by renowned orthopaedicians from all over India including Dr Amit Rastogi (BHU), Dr KD Tripathi (Allahabad), Dr Amit Ajgaonkar (Mumbai), Dr John Mukhopadhyay (Paras Hospital, Patna), Dr N K Magu (Max Hospital, New Delhi), Dr Shah Alam Khan (AIIMS, New Delhi).
He said that newer insights into lower limb trauma will be presented by the young budding orthopaedicians participating as delegates, while President, UP Orthopaedic Association, Dr Jamal Ashraf and President-elect Dr Apoorva Agrawal will speak on the development of orthopaedic clinical practices in present scenario.
Dr Jilani said that the 6th UPOA trauma course will bring together trauma surgeons for devising best of the practice guidelines and creating a protocol based care of patients particularly those hailing from low income strata of society.
