Dr. Aiyaz Ahmad Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University Centre at Murshidabad, West Bengal since September 1, 2014. Prior to this, he served as a Senior Survey Associate at the National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT) for three years and as a Project Junior Consultant at the National Institute of Educational Planning & Administration (NIEPA) for ten months. He holds a PhD Degree from Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his M.Ed., MA (Economics), BA (Hons), and 10+2 from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He also earned MA Degree in Hindi from U.P. Rajarshi Tondon Open University, Prayagraj, and has qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) in education. He is the author of one book and three chapters, and has published 29 research articles in reputed journals. His areas of teaching include Education and the National Context, Value Education, Pedagogy of Economics, Pedagogy of Hindi, Assessment for Learning.
In addition to his academic role, he has taken on several responsibilities, including serving as the Coordinator of Unit-B.Ed., Joint Coordinator of Regional Centre for Distance Education, In-Charge of Official Language (Hindi) Implementation Committee, In-Charge of Publication Committee, and Assistant Proctor at the Centre Murshidabad, West Bengal.
