The Departmental Enquiries Section, located at 3rd Floor (Wing-A) of the Administrative Block, came into existence in the year 1986. The main objective of the establishment of the Section is to examine various complaints received from the employees/teachers of the University and others and decide whether a prima facie case is established or not against the concerned employee(s). Basically, the Departmental Enquiries Section deals with the cases of suspension, issue of show cause notices, charge sheet, appointment of Inquiry Officer & Presenting Officer, to provide Secretarial Assistance to the Inquiry Officer during the course of conduct of enquiries, inflicting minor/major penalty on erring officials, preparation of Inquiry Reports, if desired by the Inquiry Officer and communication of final orders.
Further, the Departmental Enquiries Section deals with the preparation of Para Wise comments on the Appeals of the employees after issuance of final orders as well as Writ Petitions etc. filed by the employees of the University in the matters relating to Departmental Enquiries; Examination of Reports of the disciplinary cases received from the Inquiry Officer/ Fact Finding Inquiry Committees etc.; to assist the Inquiry Officer and Inquiry Committee in conduct of Inquiries, to provide information under RTI Act-2005 to the Information Seeker, disposal of appeal filed by the Information Seeker and to provide Clearance Report regarding disciplinary proceeding against the employee concerned if any in connection with promotion, confirmation, Retirement and No Objection Certificate for Indian Passport.
