Standard operating procedure (SOPs)
These SOPs apply to all students of the institution (UG, PG, PhD, and other programs) and cover grievances arising within the institutional framework.
This policy covers grievances related to:
Academic matters (teaching-learning, evaluation, attendance, curriculum delivery).
Administrative services and facilities.
Discrimination, harassment, or unfair treatment (excluding matters covered under separate statutory committees).
Any other issue affecting the academic or campus life of students.
Grievances related to sexual harassment shall be addressed by the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), and grievances related to ragging shall be handled by the Anti-Ragging Committee, as per applicable regulations.
1. Grievance lodging procedure
Students may submit grievances through:
• Online grievance portal through google form/email
• Written application to the SGRC
2. Required Information
The grievance must include:
• Name, enrolment, faculty roll number, and contact details of the student.
• Description of the grievance with relevant dates.
• Supporting documents.
3. Investigation: The committee reviews the complaint, gathers evidence, and hears both parties.
4. Resolution: The committee provides recommendations for remedial action within a specified time limit.
