The library has a rich collection of more than 55,000 books and bound journals in print form topacify the needs of the users. Some of them are very costly encyclopedias in the field of health & allied sciences which have been procured for the benefit of the medical fraternity.Keeping in view the richness of its resources, the Times of India described this library as Minefield of Knowledge in its issue of 10.9.2008.

The library subscribes about 71 International and 30 Indian current Journals in various specialties.It has also maintained its archived collection of old journals (bounded volumes) in printed form at the ground floor of the new building reserved for this purpose.Some of the journals/periodicals are as old as the collection of National Medical Library USA, e.g. few journals are available from 1940 onward.
