Dr. Tariq Masood is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Department of West Asian and North African Studies, Aligarh Muslim University. Previously, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Kashmir, Srinagar. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from AMU.

His teaching and research interests focus on international trade, applied econometrics, economic growth, and the political economy of the West Asia region. Dr. Masood’s recent work explores issues such as trade integration, trade costs, and growth and productivity dynamics using advanced empirical approaches, including structural gravity models, computable general equilibrium (CGE) analysis, and stochastic frontier techniques.

He has completed research projects funded by the ICSSR and has published extensively in reputable international journals. Recently, he has contributed a chapter on “CGE models” in a book published by Routledge, which discusses the evolution and applications of CGE modeling in trade analysis.

Dr. Masood has coordinated several national workshops on econometric and trade modeling and frequently delivers lectures at universities and research institutions across India.
