Dr. Aijaj Ahmed Raj is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Aligarh Muslim University Centre, Murshidabad. He has experience of teaching and research for over a decade. He has experience of teaching at Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University, and Faculty of Juridical Sciences, RU, Kanpur.
Dr. Raj earned his Ph.D. in Competition Law from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh where his comparative research examined the transnational application of competition law across the European Union, the United States and India. He also holds an LL.M. in Business Law from Amity University, Noida and a B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) from AMU, Aligarh; along with specialized certifications in Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Rights and Environmental Law from institutions such as the WIPO Academy and the University of North Carolina.
His scholarship is widely published, in reputed national and international journals, indexed in Scopus, Web of Science and UGC; in books with national and international publishers including CRC Press and Routledge. He has presented papers at national and international conferences, judged and assessed moot courts and mediation competitions and served as an arbitrator in international arbitration events.
Dr. Raj has earned his reputation in academic leadership through his roles as Vice-President of the Law Society, Assistant Training and Placement Officer and Editor for reputed legal journals. He has also organized numbers of seminars and workshops. He is also professionally affiliated with organizations such as the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Indian Society of International Law (ISIL).
