Profile : Working as a Professor of Arabic in the Aligarh Muslim University, a known figure of Arabic who is equipped with traditional as well modern education. Has edited a rare Arabic MS of a great Arab Historian, al-Maqrizi for obtaining Ph. D. and it has been published from Dairatul Maarif, Osmania University, Hyderabad. Author of 4 books and has edited eight collection of articles of Arabic seminar held under the SAP scheme of UGC beside attending (45) national and international seminars in the country and outside India, publishing (50) articles and delivered lectures as a resource person of Arabic Academic Staff Colleges of Indian Universities. Supervised 08 M. Phil and Ph. D. 15 (completed) and 04 are presently working for Ph. D. Worked as the Coordinator of DSA Phase -III and ASIHSS Programmes of the UGC in Arabic 2003-2008 and presently is the Coordinator of CAS-I Scheme (2008-2013) and working as the Chairman of the Department of Arabic.
