Profile: I completed my education up to Ph.D. (Arabic) from A.M.U., and joined the Department of Arabic, A.M.U. as Lecturer in 1986; presently serving as Professor. I have taught / teaching Pre-Islamic Arabic Poetry, Modern Arabic Courses including Mahjar Literature, Translation, Literary Criticism, and Research Methodology. Indo-Arabic Literature is also my area of interest. I have contributed research papers related to my subject in three languages- Arabic, Urdu and English, published in the reputed Journals of India and abroad. I have also contributed articles in the "Project of History of Indian Science, Philosophy and Culture"( PHISPC), vol. VII, part -5 "Development of Islamic Religion and Philosophy in India , N Delhi 2009. I have contributed several books in my subject and area of interest as well as translated several books. Especially, I would like to mention that for the first time I wrote a book in Arabic on the Life and Thoughts of the Founder of the University Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and translated his selected essays into Arabic in 2 volumes.
