Dr. Basharat Hassan serves as Assistant Professor (Contractual) at the Unit Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, Malappuram.
He obtained his Ph.D. from Aligarh Muslim University in 2022. He was awarded Gold Medals for securing First Position in B.A. (Hons.) and M.A. History at AMU. He qualified the UGC-NET (JRF) in 2015, and JKSET in 2016. During his Master’s programme, he was a recipient of the UGC National Scholarship and the University Post Graduate Merit Scholarship. He also received the ICHR Research-cum-Travel Grant during his doctoral research.
His scholarly work has appeared in internationally reputed journals published by Taylor & Francis, Brill, and Sage Publications.
He has previously served at the University of Kashmir, Women's College, AMU, and North-East Hill University (Tura Campus).
