Faizan Ahmad has completed his B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Chemical Engineering from Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh in 2011 and 2013 respectively. Soon after he joined the Department of Chemical Engineering, A.M.U., Aligarh as Guest Faculty/Assistant Professor and served the department from (2014-2017). On 6th March 2017, he joined the Department of Post Harvest Engineering & Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh as Assistant Professor. Having experience of more than seven years he has been actively engaged in research and the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate classes. He has published more than 10 papers in peer-reviewed SCI/ESCI/Scopus indexed journals and has presented his work at 10 international and national conferences. He has attended more than 30 seminars/conferences/ workshops/short-term courses and faculty development programs. He has also supervised 05 M.Tech dissertations and is presently supervising 01 M.Tech students. His major area of research interest includes quality assessment of fruits & vegetables during storage and drying, extraction of bio-active compounds from agricultural wastes, food processing, food engineering, etc. He has a patent published on a fully automatic vacuum dryer with a data recorder in the journal published by the Government of India (39/2020, Dated: 25.09.2020). He is a life member of the Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE). He also has a Quarterly Franklin Membership of London Press (UK). Recently he has been conferred with the Vedant Educator Excellence Award-2020, and Dr. A. P. J.Abdul Kalam Scientist Award-2020.
