Dr. Irfan Ahmad Khan is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, J.N.M.C., A.M.U., Aligarh. He has worked as Deputy Co-ordinator, Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centre, J. N. Medical College and Hospital, A.M.U., Pharmacovigilance Programme of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for 5 years. He did his M.B.B.S. and M.D.(Pharmacology) from J.N.M.C., A.M.U. He has formal training and experience in designing & conducting clinical trials, ADR reporting and causality assessment, Pharmacogenomic studies, and teaching pharmacology to MBBS, BDS, MD and MDS students. He has published research papers in various national and international indexed journals. He has authored three book chapters. He has been awarded the “Best Researcher Award” in the International Scientist Awards on Engineering, Science and Medicine, held in Chennai, India, from 19th-20th December 2020. He won 1st Prize for oral presentation at 1st Annual Conference of Physiologists & Pharmacologists of India, UP-UK APPICON- 2012.

He has passed “Basic Course in Biomedical Research” (as mandated by the National Medical Commission), March-June 2020, with a consolidated score of 93% (Roll No. NOC20GE33S81480080). He has done “Revised Basic Course Workshop and training in Attitude, Ethics & Communication (AETCOM)” and “Curriculum Implementation Support Program II”.

He is Facilitator, Department of Pharmacology, JNMC, AMU, Aligarh for the cycle 2 Accreditation of AMU by NAAC. He is actively involved with Curriculum Sub Committee for MBBS Phase 2, JNMC, AMU, Aligarh. He delivered a lecture on “Creating and using e-mails, Using Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Google classroom” during Computer skill modules of the Foundation Course for MBBS 2020 Batch, JNMC, AMU, Aligarh. He has been examiner for MBBS, BDS, MD, M.Sc.(Pharmacology) and PhD (Pharmacology).

He has been awarded Honorary Rosalind Member of London Journals Press, United Kingdom. He is member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology, National Association of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Indian Pharmacological Society, Indian Society for Rational Pharmacotherapeutics, and Society of Pharmacovigilance, India (SoPI).
