Dr. Nasir Ahmad Salati, PhD, has been serving as a faculty member  in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Dr Z.A.Dental college ,Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. He completed his B.D.S. from Aligarh Muslim University,  M.D.S. from Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal, and PhD from Aligarh Muslim University.

He is aChief Editor of the University Journal of Dental Sciences, an official publication of Dr. Z.A. Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University. He is also Editor of Annual College Magazine . He successfully completed a course in his specialty organized by ''International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathologists and the British Society for Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology (IAOP2020)'' in 2021. His areas of interest and research include forensic odontology, special stains, immunohistochemistry, FNAC, salivary gland histochemistry, and cryosurgery. He has published articles in various reputed journals such as the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (PubMed), National Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (PubMed), International Journal of Applied and Basic Medical Research (PubMed),  Journal of Stomatology & Maxillofacial Surgery (Scopus indexed), University Journal of Dental Sciences, Journal of Indian Dental Association (JIDA), International Journal of Advancements in Research and Technology (IJOART), International Organization of Scientific Research, International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Invention (IJPSI), Indian Journal of Genetics & Molecular Research & Journal of Dental & Medical Sciences (JDMS), among others. He has authored many online articles & has  a book to his credit. He was  Associate Editor of  CUSP, a publication of Indian Dental Association, Aligarh branch.  Additionally, he is a member of the editorial board and a reviewer for the Journal of Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology, and Oral Radiology. He has presented numerous papers at National and International conferences, including those organized by the Indian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, OOOE, and various national Oral and Maxillofacial pathology postgraduate conventions. He successfully completed a project titled "Evaluation of OPN Expression in Potentially Malignant Disorders & Oral Squamous Cell Carcinomas: An IHC Study" as part of his curricular studies at Aligarh Muslim University. He has attended many CDEs, CPDs, CMEs, Seminars, Symposia & Workshops including, EDUCATIONAL RESOURSE PLANNING (ERP) Workshop ORGANISED UNDER THE AEGIS OF NATIONAL MISSION ON EDUCATION, through ICT, MHRD, Govt. Of India, & IPR-Patent processing organized by National institute of intellectual Property Management, Nagpur.

He has been involved in many administrative responsibilities at the university. He is Teacher Incharge of the Disciplinary Committee at Dr. Z.A. Dental college & various halls of residence since 2012. Additionally, he is also a member of the Anti-Ragging committee, Academic Affairs committee, Alumi Affairs' Committee , Career Counselling Committee & other departmental committees of Dental College. He has been a  member  of  Dr Z.A.Dental college society.  As an additional responsibility, he looks after various student activites  in  various residential hostels of the university. He discharged his duties as warden and looked after various Literary and cultural activites, Dinnning Hall,  Room Allotment, Land & Gardens, Health & Hygiene, Gym  & other activities (duly assigned by  higher ones),  in Hadi Hasan Hall from 2012-2015, Sir Syed Hall (North) from 2015-17,  M. Habib Hall from 2017-24., and  in Aftab Hall  till Jan, 2026.
