PROFILE My field of specialization is the History of the Mughals. Having done my Ph.D. on Urban Middle Classes under the Mughals, I shifted my attention to the field of Medieval Archaeology. Having introduced Medieval Archaeology as a course of study at postgraduate level, I have done extensive work on the field and my book Fathpur Sikri Revisited (OUP, ISBN 019808403X) is scheduled for release by the end of this year). I have also done work on the History of Architecture and Art. I have around 40 research papers published in National and International refereed journals and edited works. Some major post graduate papers on the Mughals (like those on Babur, Humayun, Akbar and Aurangzeb) as well as specialized papers on Historical and Medieval Archaeology are presently being taught by me.
