Obtained Post-graduate, M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in Geology with specialization in Micropalaeontology from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. Research interest includes Jurassic Foraminiferal Taxonomy, Biostratigraphy, Palaeoecology and Palaeobiogeography. Teaching interest includes Petroleum Geology apart from Palaeontology and Micropalaeontology with 30 years of research and teaching experience in the above mentioned disciplines. Published 31 research papers in reputed peer-reviewed National and International journals such as Current Science, Journal of the Geological Society of India, Journal of the Palaeontological Society of India; Micropaleontology, U.S.A.; Journal of Systematic Palaeontology, U.K.; Revue de Micropalaontologie, Elsevier; Revue de Palaeobologie, Switzerland; N. Jb. Geol. Palaont., Germany; and Arab. Journal. Geosci., Springer, beside 19 published abstracts communicated and/or presented at National and International Conferences. Successfully supervised four Ph.D. theses, one M.Phil. dissertation and several M.Sc. Project dissertations. Evaluated several Ph.D. and Postgraduate theses of Indian and Foreign universities Serving as Associate Editor of the journal 'Geospectrum Interface'. Appointed reviewer of Current Science, Himalayan Geology, International Journal of Advancement in Earth and Environmental Sciences, Journal of the Indian Association of Sedimentologists and Geospectrum Interface. Life Member of Palaeontological Society of India and Indian Society for Earth, Planetary and Environmental Sciences.Elected Member of the Executive Council of the Palaeontological Society of India for the years 2014-15. Completed three research projects sponsored by UGC, DST and a private sector petroleum company.
