Dr. Nizamuddin Khan is Professor in department of Geography at Aligarh Muslim University. He has an experience of 26 years in teaching and research and has been involved continuously in university academic activities. Dr. Khan's research interests are in agricultural marketing, rural marketing and livestock husbandry. Marketing Geography, Political Geography and Physical Geography are papers of his teaching interest at post graduate level. His research papers has been published in various journals of repute like Asian Profile (Canada), FOCUS (Association of American Geographer, USA), Philippines Geographical Journal (Philippines), Journal for Geography (Slovenia), African Journal of Livestock Extension and Journal of Economics and Sustainable Development (USA). The Indian journals, in which he published papers, are The Geographer, Geographical Review of India, Indian Journal of Regional Science, Indian National Geographer, Earth Surface Review, etc. He has also completed five major research projects sponsored by ICAR, ICSSR, UGC, New Delhi and UPCST, Lucknow, on the theme of livestock husbandry and agricultural marketing. Prof. Khan has also authored thirteen(13) books. He is the recipient of International Geographical Union Scholarship twice, Best Paper Award in ACSSR 2010, Penang, Malaysia, in Istanbul, Turkey (2018) and in Greensboro , U.S.A. (2019).
He has been also awarded with Bhoogol Shastra Bhusan 2019 by DGSI , Lifetime Achievement Award 2020, and Outstanding Scientist Award (2021) by
