Dr. Safia earned her PhD in Biochemistry from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, in 2005. Her main research interests focus on the molecular biochemistry of macromolecules, particularly their structural and functional roles in health and the development of chronic diseases.

Research combines biochemical, molecular, and translational methods to explore mechanisms behind metabolic dysregulation, protein–nucleic acid interactions, and biomolecular signaling pathways. She has served as Principal Investigator on projects funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the University Grants Commission (UGC), helping to advance biomedical understanding in chronic disease biology.

Dr. Safia has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in high-impact international journals, sharing discoveries related to macromolecular biochemistry and disease biomarkers. Her work has been presented at national and international scientific conferences, demonstrating both rigorous methodology and translational significance.
