Dr. Abuzar Mateen presently working as a Guest Faculty in the Department of Arabic, Aligarh Muslim University, He has obtained his M.A. and Ph.D. Degree from AMU. He has qualified NET in first attempt in December 1999, and earned the certificate of Diploma in Computer (DTP) and Diploma in Urdu Language from NCPUL. He has completed his Graduation in Arabic Language and Literature from Nadwat-ul-Ulama, Lucknow.
Dr. Abuzar has worked as an Assistent Professor (Contractual) and Guest Faculty in the deparment of Arabic AMU, Besides this he has worked as Research Associate under UGC SAP-CAS-I and CAS-II, Department of Arabic, AMU, He has worked in the Department of Business Administration, AMU Aligarh as visiting faculty (Arabic) for the several academic sessions (from 2014-15), and served one academic session(2015-16) in the Department of Commerce, AMU Aligarh, and He has also worked as a Guest Faculty in MANUU (Lucknow campus) from 1st November 2010 to April 2012. Before joining MANUU he served the Idarah Ulum-ul-Qurnan Aligarh as a Research Fellow in 2010.
He has been teaching classical Arabic Prose, Poetry, Modern Arabic Literature and Indo-Arab Literature. As well as he is teaching the students of Certificate and Diploma of Proficiency in Arabic. He has contributed 51 Research Papers, Articles, 43 are published in the peer-reviewed and UGC care listed journals of India on various aspects of Arabic Literature and History within Indo Arab Literature, Apart from this, he has compiled and edited 09 books in Arabic and Urdu Languages, including “Al-Sir Syed Ahmad Khan Among Arabs and Indian Scholars” and “Kitab-ul-Wafayat” in two volumes. He has attended more than 37 International and National Seminars, Webinars and Workshops.
He has received U.P. Urdu Academy award for his edited book “Masail-o-Mabahis” in 2018. He has completed three project sanctioned by NCPUL, HRD, Government of India.
He is also engaged in academic and administrative duties. He has served as a Warden in many residential halls in AMU and He was also a Member of Anti-Raging Committee for the Faculty of Arts beside this, He also served as an Assistant Superintendent of Examination and Admission for the Faculty of Arts.
