Dr. Shazia F Fazli has obtained her MA in Sociology and Ph.D. in Society, Culture and Reproductive Health: A comparative study of Hindu and Muslim Women (Sociology) from Aligarh Muslim University. She has been awarded fellowship From ICSSR for Ph.D. Work, New Delhi and for Post Doctorate. She has published research articles in international and national journals of academic repute and chapters in books. She has published a book titled Society, Culture and Reproductive Health. Her area of interest includes reproductive health & rights of women and Mass media & women. She was associated with different NGOs, Particularly Bill & Melinda Gates foundation and UDAAN society at Aligarh working on women and health-related issues. She has worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad. She has worked as a Research Associate in the project of Migration, Poverty, and Access to Health: A Multi Centric Study of fast Growing Smaller Cities in India? funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research in Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Aligarh. She has worked as a team leader and strategist; engage in the formulation and implementation of strategies pertaining to the issues faced during the project. I also impart training to Grass Root Workers and M.D. students.
She has been invited to present papers and deliver lectures at international and national conferences, workshops and courses. She has attended a conference at Cambridge University, UK. Dr. Fazli has visited the UK (University of Cambridge & University of Oxford), Abu Dhabi and Dubai for academic purposes.
