Prof. (Dr.) Rafiqul Zaman Khan is working as a Chairman, Department of Computer Science, AMU, Aligarh, India since March 12, 2020 for next 03 years.
He received his B.Sc Degree from G.F.College, Shahjahanpur (M.J.P Rohilkhand University, Bareilly), M.Sc and M.C.A from A.M.U. Aligarh and Ph.D (Computer Science) from Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi.
He has 26 years of Teaching Experience of various reputed International and National Universities viz King Fahad University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), K.S.A; Ittihad University (IU), U.A.E; Pune University, Pune; Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi; and A.M.U, Aligarh.
He worked as a Head of the Department of Computer Science at Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Camp, PUNE-1, (University of Pune).
His Research Interest includes Parallel & Distributed Computing, Gesture Recognition, Expert Systems, cloud computing and IPv6 security. SIX (06) students completed PhD under his independent supervision and FOUR (04) students are pursuing.
He has published 75 research papers in International Journals/Conferences. He is the Member of Advisory/Editorial Board of number of International Journals. He is also PC member of number of reputed International Conferences.
Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi (Accredited by NAAC in A Grade) appointed him Reader in absentia against permanent post in 2004 and VIT University, Vellore (Accredited by NAAC & ABET) as a Professor in 2008 but he did not join because of personal reasons.
A.M.U, Aligarh offered him post of Reader in absentia in May 2009 and he joined on August 22, 2009.
After joining AMU, Aligarh his major contribution is revision of MCA/BCA Syllabus as per the IT market needs and introduced PhD program in the Department.
