Centre for Women's Studies
A) Conducting UGC Refresher Course under the ageis of UGC Academic Staff College, A.M.U. annually from 2008; the courses draw large numbers of participants (around 70) from all over the country which is a testimony to growing interest in the gender issues.
B) Organised a Study Workshop in Collaboration with and fully funded by the National Commission for Women to prepare recommendations for amending laws for improvement of women's rights to land to be submitted by NCW to the Parliament. The recommendations were duly submitted to the Commission.
C) Held a Residential Sensitization / Awareness /Motivation (SAM) Workshop under UGC's scheme Capacity Building for Women Managers in Higher Education fully financed by the UGC.
D) Collaborated with the British Council in holding an all India Essay-writing Competition on "My Mother" in 2006 the region assigned to the Centre was U.P.
E) Collaborated with Indian Association for Women's Studies (IAWS) for a workshop on "Recovering Pasts: Interrogating the Present" in May 2013.
