ABOUT RCA

The Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) was established in 2010 under the scheme of the University Grants Commission, M.H.R.D./ Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, entitled “Establishment of Residential Coaching Academy for Minorities/SC/ST and Women" sanctioned vide letter D.O. No. F.56-1/2009(CU) dated 9^th Sept 2009.

VISION

To facilitate participation and empowerment of the marginalized sections in governance thereby enabling them to contribute and serve our beloved nation.

MISSION

To ensure maximum selections in UPSC Examinations, Provincial Civil Services, Provincial Judicial Services, SSC-CGL and other reputed competitive examinations.
Continuous assessment through teaching, evaluation and guidance processes with rigorous feedback mechanism along with the use of modern technology for the benefits of aspirants.
Encouraging the aspirants to uphold Indian culture, ethics, and social responsibilities of being a responsible civil servant.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Library Facilities

RCA maintains well-equipped fully air-conditioned organised library with all facilities and latest books, magazines and course materials for the competitive Examinations. Library opens on all days from 08:00 a.m. to 02:00 a.m. except on national holidays. The library has separate reading halls for mains aspirants. The latest books and study materials are all available for GS/Optional subjects in the library meant only for aspirants appearing in different competitive Examinations. Library details are as follows.

Hostel Facilities

RCA also provides hostel facilities to the selected candidates. Boys selected for the coaching programme reside in the RCA Boys’ Hostel whereas the Girls stay in RCA Girls’ Hostel. RCA has the facilities to accommodate 128 students as follows:

ONGOING COACHING PROGRAMMES

Selection Process

The Residential Coaching Academy selects students for coaching through All-India Entrance Test to different coaching programmes through advertisements in national and local newspapers. Advertisement is also displayed on the RCA website and social media. Since 2018-19, applications for Civil Services are being received online. However, application forms of Judicial Services and SSC-CGL are being received online since 2019-20.

Civil Services: Entrance test for selecting candidates for the Civil Services Coaching Programme are conducted after the advertisement in the national and local newspapers and social media for the same on All India basis at the following nine test centres:

Judicial Services: Entrance test consisting of 100 MCQs for the coaching of Judicial Services Coaching Programme. It is conducted on All India basis at the following seven test centres:
