24-OCT-2014: The Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University Kishanganj Centre, Bihar organized an orientation programme for the first batch of MBA students.
Professor M Israrul Haque, Chairman, Department of Business Administration and Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Research, AMU, inaugurated the programme. Addressing students on the occasion, Prof. Haque emphasized the need for professional, academic and multi-tasking skills required for achieving larger targets in management career. He mentioned real life instances and case studies and stressed the importance of hard work, honesty, scholarship and self-discipline.
Prof. Haque urged the students not to compromise on academic quality and focus on developing soft and finer interpersonal communication as well as reading skills for securing better jobs. He also addressed the need to develop and establish training and placement office for the students of the Centre in order to meet their employment as well as summer training needs.
Dr Rashid Nehal, Director, AMU Kishanganj Centre threw light on the importance of maintaining academic standards for achieving higher management goals. He also highlighted the need for good communication and soft skills, which acted as a catalyst to compete in the job market.
Dr Rizwana, Training and Placement Officer of the Centre outlined the objective of the Training and Placement Office. Dr Haidar Abbas conducted the programme and presented a brief introduction of all the speakers. Dr Mohammad Faisal gave a brief account of AMU and Faculty of Management Studies and Research with the help of a short documentary film.
The vision and mission of AMU Kishanganj Centre were highlighted by Dr Uzma Siddiqui while Mr Jawed Ahmad informed the students about the rules and regulations of the campus.
Dr Agha Nuruzzaman, Course Coordinator, MBA proposed a vote of thanks.
