05-NOV-2014: On the eve of 168th World Anaesthesia Day, the Department of Anaesthesiology, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a programme with the theme "Anaesthesia for All".
Chief guest, Professor Tariq Mansoor, Principal and CMS, JN Medical College appreciated the efforts of the Department of Anaesthesiology in providing health care facilities. He also praised the hard work rendered by resident doctors and faculty members of the Department of Anaesthesiology and assured full support to the department in its future endeavours.
Professor Shahla Haleem, Chairman, Department of Anaesthesiology, congratulated faculty members, Senior Residents, Junior Residents and staff for the growth and development achieved by the department. She appreciated them for their services and cooperation. She also expressed gratitude to University and Hospital administration for developments in the department, such as the upgradation of Operation Theatres from workstation to advanced monitors, Dialysis (CRRT machine), new ultrasound machines, Non-Invasive Advanced Cardiac Monitors (NICO) in ICU, provision of costly antibiotics to ICU patients leading to improvement in Anaesthetic services.
She also recognized the efforts of Professor Qazi Ehsan Ali and Dr Nazia Tauheed, coordinators of the event.
On this occasion, quiz and poster competitions were organized. In the quiz competition, the first prize was given to the team comprising Dr Sarfaraz Ahmad, Dr Shadab Kamal, Dr Rashid, Dr Ishita Garg and Dr Nitesh Kumar whereas the team of Dr Muazzam Hasan, Dr Babar Khan, Dr Shahbaz, Dr Raziullah and Dr Himani got the second prize.
In poster competition, the team comprising Dr Abdullah Ahmad, Dr Aftab Hussain, Dr Nida Fatima, Dr Sana Khurshid and Dr Nishat Arzoo won the first prize, while the second prize went to the team of Dr Kashmiri Doley, Dr Kashif Jamal, Dr Tariq, Dr Amrin Badar and Dr Sailesh Kumar. Professor Shahla Haleem distributed prizes to the winners and proposed the vote of thanks.
