27-Mar-2015: Dr. Tariq Islam, Coordinator, Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Aligarh Muslim University has urged all Deans of Faculties, Chairmen of departments of study, heads of offices and Provosts of halls of residence to give their suggestion "to improve the academic and administrative activities of the University by devising intervention strategies based on inputs to facilitate decision making".
Dr. Islam, in an appeal to all stake holders in the Aligarh Muslim University's development, said that it was essential to "create participatory and facilitative functioning" to "build up support and channelize energy for sequencing academic activities and institutionalizing quality enhancement".
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell is a multidimensional nodal agency of AMU to channelize quality related activities with the primary goal of defining and institutionalizing long term objectives of the University. He said that the Cell has a role to act as an agent of change in the University to develop a system for "conscious, consistent and catalytic action".
Dr. Islam pointed out that the Aligarh Muslim University, as visualized by its founder, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan is "Our University" and this is a feeling that should be made explicit and "we should move together to make Sir Syed's vision a reality".
