01-APR-2015: On All India Mushaira, Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah (retd) released 'Parwaz-e-Shaheen,' a book authored by late Mr Zubair Ahmad Banspari.
The book, which covers human emotions, is a collection of various poetic epitomes authored by late Zubair Ahmad Banspari. The book has sections of Salam, Naat, Nazm and Ghazal.
Released in the presence of eminent dignitaries like Dr Balkar Sing (DM Aligarh), Mr Dharmendra Yadav (MLA), Mr Ajay Choudhary (IG Delhi) and others during the All India Mushaira, 'Parwaz-e-Shaheen' was slated to be released in 2001 but got delayed due to the prolonged illness of the author.
"The book was published in 2001, but we couldn't get it released," said the late author's daughter, Dr Tamanna Siddiqui, who works as an associate Professor in AMU's Department of Computer Science.
'Parwaz-e-Shaheen' finally released after more than a decade of the author's death. Mr Zubair Ahmad Banspari passed away on November 17 in 2004.
Dr Tamanna added that after a hiatus of 14 years, we took the initiative of finally releasing the book. "It is an honor that the book has been released by AMU Vice Chancellor, General Shah in presence of special guests and famous poets of the nation," said Dr Siddiqui.
With roots in Village Banspar in District Balia, Uttar Pradesh, late Zubair Ahmad Banspari in his lifetime shifted to District Sidhi in Madhya Pradesh to attend a Madhya Pradesh Government job.
Aligarh Muslim University's Students Union organized the All India Mushaira, in which the book was released.
