14-SEP-2015: The Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Centre, Kerala organized an orientation programme for first year students of law.
Welcoming the guests and students, Dr. Faisal K.P., Coordinator, Department of Law highlighted the history of the Department of Law. He said that AMUā??s Department of Law has produced a number of legal luminaries like Dr. Madhava Menon and Prof. Faizan Mustafa.
Addressing the students, Dr. Abdul Azis, Director, AMU Malappuram Centre said that the centre had become fully WIFI enabled and the NAAC inspection team had appreciated the developments taken place in the centre within a short period of time.
Dr. Azis said that the AMU was one of the top universities of the country and it had been ranked constantly amongst the top law Colleges of the country.
Chief Guest of the programme, Prof Sathya Sheelan encouraged and motivated students to do hard work in their studies.
Mr. Faisal Ahmed Khan, a faculty member, presented an introduction to the BALLB course. Mr. Ghalib Nashtar interacted with the students, while Mr. Muhammad Abu Shahid explained the assessment and evaluation system of the department.
Provost of the Centre, Dr. Muhammad Asif shared his ideas about life at AMU and gave a vivid description of the residential life at AMU Malappuram Centre.
Dr. MH Faridi, Proctor of the Centre highlighted the rules and regulation regarding the administration. He said that AMU had unique culture and tradition and it was the duty of students to follow and maintain it.
Dr. OP Salahuddin, Dean Studentsā?? Welfare came up with students supporting schemes and scholarship. He urged them to carry out eco-friendly activities and not to waste electricity and water.
Mrs. Naseema P.K. presented a vote of thanks. Mr. Shahnawaz Ahmed Malik, Coordinator, conducted the programme.
