22-SEP-2015: Addressing the Valedictory Function of short term courses on 'Your Health and Wellbeing' and 'Data Analysis/SPSS and R' at the University Grants Commission Human Resource Development Centre (UGC HRDC) of Aligarh Muslim University, the Vice Chancellor, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah (retd) urged the gathering of teachers and scholars to maintain good health by practicing moderation and not wishing away health issues.
Teachers and scholars from various departments of the university were present at the Valedictory Function.
Mrs Sabiha Simi Shah distributed the certificates and congratulated the participants.
Professor Abdur Raheem Kidwai, Director, UGC HRDC, said that regular training can bring excellence in higher education and the Centre is committed to organizing such professional development programmes for teachers.
Dr Faiza Abbasi, Assistant Professor, UGC HRDC, AMU informed that both the courses were of one week duration and 38 participants participated in the two short term courses. She further added that the gender ratio amongst the enrolled participants in both the courses was equally balanced.
Professor Qazi Mazhar Ali, Department of Statistics and Prof Seema Hakim, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology were coordinators of the recently conducted two short-term courses.
Meanwhile, Dr Abid Siddiqui, Assistant Professor, Department of Education; Dr Fatima Ilyasi, Post Doctoral Fellow, Centre for Women's Studies and Ms Neha Sharma, Research Scholar, Department of Education also shared their opinion.
All the representatives said that the courses were efficiently administered and they derived useful content from eminent resource persons.
