07-JAN-2016: 1. Reference resolution dated 05 January 2016 of Executive Committee of AMU Teachers' Association.
2. AMU Teachers' Association's unconditional support to the University Administration is welcome. That was the least expected from a body which derives its sustenance from AMU.
3. What is regrettable is Mr. Mustafa Zaidi's attempt to draw mileage from the resolution by projecting "Lack of preparedness demonstrated by the hunt for advocates and alarm displayed by the university officers in convening and then postponing Executive Council meetings". This is in line with Mr. Mustafa Zaidi's anti administration stance on every issue.
4. It is clarified that Mr. Mustafa Zaidi's perceptions are out of touch with reality. The Executive Council had earlier decided on the panel of lawyers who were to represent AMU. Briefs had been given to them in advance. It was however necessary to ensure coordination with our legal representatives and give them last minute briefings. Mr. Mustafa Zaidi must remember that this panel of the leading lawyers of the country is not available "on call". They have limited time but have given to AMU administration three days from 04 - 06 January 2016 for briefing which made it necessary to postpone the Executive Council meeting.
5. The AMU administration is taking no chances and has harnessed all resources and met the people concerned. It is a clear cut case. Truth is on our side and we shall succeed, Inshallah.
