08-Feb-2016: AMU Researcher Scholar Mr Obaidur Rahman with co-authors Mr Asad Ahmad, Research Scholar and Dr Mohammed Naved Khan, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Studies and Research, Aligarh Muslim University bagged the Best Paper Award at the 3rd International Conference titled 'Booming Service Sector: From Achievements to Growth Prospects', organized by Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, University of Delhi.
The AMU team of researchers won the award for their paper titled 'Service Quality of Online Shopping Websites: An Empirical Study'
The study explores the service quality preferences of online Indian buyers. The paper highlights that with growing use of Internet, India is expected to overtake other developed nations of the world and become the leading online marketplace.
Study results show that website design, customer service, fulfillment and privacy are significant predictors of service quality for the online retailing websites. The study findings can be of great help to marketers in developing strategies to attract and retain online customers in India.
