15-Feb-2016: The Aligarh Muslim University Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S Ahmad Ali (retd) recently inaugurated a 'Disaster Management Awareness Camp' at the Industrial and Agricultural Exhibition Ground in Aligarh.
During the inauguration, the Pro Vice Chancellor lauded the efforts of Department of Civil Engineering, Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology in fulfilling the objectives of the Centre for the Disaster Management Studies.
He stressed that greater coordinated efforts must be made and the expertise of all the role players should be utilized in meeting the goals.
Professor Mumtaz Ahmad Khan, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology appreciated the efforts of the department in generating awareness among the masses.
Prof M M Sufyan Beg, Principal, ZH College of Engineering and Technology stressed upon greater coordination between different departments and units of the university in these efforts.
Prof Mohammed Arif, Chairman, Department of Civil Engineering welcomed the audience while highlighting the activities of Centre for the Disaster Management Studies.
Dr Mohd Shariq coordinated the programme. B Tech Civil Engineering student, Mr Shahbaz Ahmad conducted the programme and Prof Mohammed Muzzammil proposed the vote of thanks.
An awareness brochure published in English, Urdu and Hindi was also released on the occasion.
