22-Feb-2016: Professor Nikhat Nasrin, Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University has recently invited researchers and academics to contribute articles for a book on 'Environmental Education', she has been assigned to edit.
"The authors may send their manuscript in MS word format preferably through e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org," said Prof Nasreen adding that in case of any inconvenience for sending through e-mail, the manuscript may be sent by post on the address of the Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, 202002, Uttar Pradesh.
She had stated that the last date for submitting for the same is March 15, 2016.
Prof Nasreen has advised the authors contributing articles, research studies, case studies and observations to keep their work original and not to be under consideration for any other publication at the same time.
She further said that a declaration is to be made by the author in the covering letter that the paper is original and has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. She has asked the contributors to keep their manuscripts including tables, figures and references around 3000-4000 words.
Prof Nasreen has informed that the cover page should contain the title of the paper, author's name, designation, official address, and address for correspondence, contact phone / fax number and e-mail address.
Prof Nasreen has also pointed out that the book needs contributions on the topics of Meaning and importance of environmental education; Man and environmental relationship; Environmental ethics: issues and possible solution, Need for public awareness; From unsustainable to sustainable development; Environment and Human health; Role of individual in conservation of environment; Threat to Biodiversity-poaching of wildlife, man-wildlife conflicts, conservation of biodiversity and biodiversity hotspots; Solid waste management- causes, effects and control measure of urban and industrial wastes; Disaster management: floods, earth quake, land slide, cyclone; Consumerism and waste products â?? plastic wastes, e-wastes and nuclear wastes; Environmental Protection Act; Air and Water (Preventions and control of Pollution Act); Wildlife and forest conservation act; International / National protocols and treaties on environment and Awareness about ill-effects of fireworks and upkeep of clean environment.
